5-by Split
I've
been on a 5-day split with one day off (6 day total) for nearly
a year. Actually it is simpler than any other split, just one major
bodypart a day.
Day 1- chest
Day
2- back
Day
3- shoulders
Day
4- arms
Day
5- legs
Day
6- off
Add
in abs and calves at least once a rotation. I also work out in the
early am and do a fair amount of volume. Each workout is around
80 -90 minutes. Commonly 18 to 20 sets per bodypart. I don't find
it difficult to generate strength in these workouts and I have made
good gains on the program, but am always reevaluating new options.
