Our picnic is scheduled for Saturday, October 19 at the Paradise Park gazebo in Las Vegas, Nevada. We'll have a seminar at the park, where there's plenty of room to sit and enjoy a casual conversation. Dave'll be ready to talk at 11:00 a.m., and he'll find someone to share the pressure with him as we get closer to October.

They'll talk and answer questions for two to three hours while Virgil's making our taste buds tingle with his bbq grills, then we'll eat around 2:00 p.m.

We can hang out as long as we want—we've reserved the park from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., when we'll head off to our various Saturday night plans, which I expect will include the Mr. Olympia contest, "O" and "Mystere," among many Las Vegas possibilities.

Paradise is a nice park about 3 miles from the Strip; our area is a gazebo-covered spot with collected tables and benches that will be perfect for the casual question & answer session prior to eating and lounging around for the afternoon.

I'll get you a map to the park, but most won't need it. It's a couple mile cab ride out in the morning, and, since it's not on a normal cab run, we'll hire a mini-bus to transport us back to the strip in the afternoon.

For a variety of mostly good reasons, we opted to have the gig catered rather than doing our own BBQing. Out of town food preparation seemed daunting -- we want to have a good time, not spend three days running around a town where we need a map to find the grocery store. Some digging around led us eventualy to a catering agreement with Virgil's Backyard Barbecue. Can you say "All you can eat tri-tip and bbq turkey"?
