Thoughts
By time I get around to responding to the topics of conversation,
nobody cares or remembers what I'm referring to. That's not important,
this is something I've gotta do.
My
last feeding of the day is just before bedtime, some three hours
after my evening meal [7-8 pm] and consists of a small digestible
protein carb mix, ie, small poptop can of tuna + a portion of low
fat cottage cheese and water or 2 scoops protein powder and low
fat milk.
Gotta
feed the beast before that 8 hour food free silence when the mighty
GH may be lurking in the system and all that healing and growth
is taking place.
My other meals are, as yours, spread throughout the day some three
hours apart depending upon events. I don't present myself with the
anxiety of exactness. Flex is good. I do always, however, have a
pre workout and post workout protein shake of significant proportion
within 30 minutes of my 120 minute training session.
Again,
I agree with the Bill Bookends, Guy and others; Big Food, Big Basics,
Big muscle foundation, Big blast, Cuts later.
Lauri,
don't believe a word I say. I'm just a big dope from N.J.
However,
a slick trick I saw that worked for Laree was to carefully and honestly
jot down at the day's end exactly what she had eaten. She found
it took dismal effort to list some of the items and this helped
her eliminate the need to do so. Truth . . . she dropped to her
lowest bodyweight ever and her spirits found a permanent new high.
Striving
bodybuilder types are, by and large, a self critical, introspective
group and their training is theraputic and enlightening. Much of
who we are visits us as we press on; the planning, the goal, the
focus and order and flow of exercise, the significance of our purpose,
the fulfillment of the collective sets, the honesty of the effort,
the discipline applied that is so sadly lacking in our neighbor,
the respect and responsibility that we struggle to foster in ourselves
and in one another. These silent, unsung exertions mold and fashion
us in ways far beyond muscle size, shape and tone only.
Strive
on,
