YOU UP FOR A CHALLENGE?

IronOnline,
as many of you know, is our lively discussion group, moderated
by Laree. It consists of some 600 cool members with 30-50 actively
participating Q&A experts — of sorts. Below is a Challenge
that I tossed out to the group yesterday to stimulate a surge
of enzymes, adrenaline and motivation. We need all the help we
can get and IronOnline is a grand and sincere group from whom
to get it. You are cordially invited to participate, peer in from
the shadows or offer your plan of attack. You'll be amazed at
all you can you learn from this manner of exchange.

Men
and women of IronOnline. What are you made of? Have you stepped
back and taken a good look at yourself lately? Where is your spirit
— your heart and soul? Do you gasp at what you encounter, or
is there contentment in who and what you behold? Iron spirit, personal
solidarity and entrenchment girded by sensitivity and generosity.
YOU BET!
We
have an opportunity to share in an IronOnline mutual support project.
Dave Goodin, a friend, champion, IOL contributor and a gym owner
from Austin, is defending his title at the Pro Natural Mr. World
in Atlantic City 12 weeks from now. He's amidst his jolly contest
preparation and plans to lower his bodyfat from its current 4.8%
(blimp) to 3.0% (torpedo). Dave Goodin doesn't need our help. He's
etched in steel, he's concrete poured and cured. Yet, he can help
us as we sit in the balcony of I/OL and root him on to victory.
Let's put our cheers of support into deeds by investing in a week
of intense, high-pitched workouts braced with flawless eating.
Oh,
my. Train a little harder...I can do that. But the diet thing. Now?
Isn't it too late? Or too early? I'm sore from yesterday's workout.
My parents might visit... what then?? The food in the fridge will
go bad, while people are starving... I cannot do that.
Well, think about it. Sounds like a fun challenge. I plan to eat
one less stalk of celery each day and who knows? Maybe cut out the
carrot stick. Might add a can of tuna. Starts Monday.
Dave,
aka BOMBER
..................
The
door is open. Enter. Either way, the scale will be there a week
from Monday. What will it say? What will it disclose? Be strong.
Be courageous. We might agree to keep the momentum going for a month.
Those
of you looking to bulk up, hit some doubles and singles on the squats,
deads and bench - add 6 ounces of lean beef and another smoothie
to your daily food intake. Get plenty of sleep.
Let's
get on with it.
